Mental health issues can affect the way you think, feel, communicate, work, and connect with the people around you. When symptoms begin interfering with daily life, the right support can help you regain stability and better understand what you are experiencing.
Strength Recovery Services provides personalized mental health treatment in Massachusetts for adults at our Weymouth treatment center. Our structured outpatient programs help people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, mood changes, relationship concerns, and other emotional challenges.
We also provide addiction treatment and dual diagnosis treatment for people experiencing substance use disorders or co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. Treatment is based on your individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Mental health treatment provides professional support for emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns that are affecting your well-being or ability to function. Treatment may help you better understand your symptoms, recognize patterns that contribute to distress, and develop healthier ways to respond to difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations.
At Strength Recovery Services, treatment begins with an assessment of what you are currently experiencing and the level of support you may need. Your treatment plan may include individual therapy, group therapy, skill-building, emotional regulation strategies, and other evidence-based or holistic approaches.
Mental health care is not limited to people with a specific diagnosis. You may also benefit from support if ongoing stress, trauma, family difficulties, unhealthy relationship patterns, or emotional overwhelm are making everyday life more difficult.
There is no single symptom or experience that determines when someone should seek help. Some people recognize a clear change in their mental health, while others gradually realize that they have been struggling for months or even years.
It may be time to consider professional support if you are experiencing:
You do not have to determine on your own whether you need PHP, IOP, or another form of support. An assessment can help identify your current needs and determine which level of care may be appropriate.
Mental health concerns can take many forms. Some people come to treatment with an established diagnosis. Others know that something in their lives is not working but are still trying to understand what they are experiencing.
Strength Recovery Services provides treatment for a range of mental health conditions, trauma-related concerns, emotional challenges, and relationship issues.
Anxiety can involve persistent worry, fear, panic, physical tension, racing thoughts, or difficulty feeling at ease. When anxiety begins limiting your daily life, anxiety treatment can help you understand your symptoms and develop healthier ways to respond to them.
Bipolar disorder can involve significant changes in mood, energy, activity, and functioning. Treatment can help you recognize patterns, develop coping strategies, and work toward greater stability. Learn more about bipolar disorder treatment.
Codependent patterns can make it difficult to establish boundaries, recognize your own needs, or maintain balanced relationships. Codependence treatment can help you explore these patterns and build healthier ways of connecting with others.
Depression can affect much more than mood. It may influence sleep, motivation, concentration, relationships, energy, and your ability to enjoy everyday life. Depression treatment provides structured support for understanding symptoms and rebuilding healthier routines.
Experiences within a family can continue influencing emotions, relationships, and coping patterns long after the original events have passed. Family trauma treatment can provide a supportive environment for understanding these experiences and their ongoing impact.
Conflict, communication problems, trust concerns, major life changes, and other relationship difficulties can affect emotional health for both partners. Marriage counseling can help address patterns contributing to marital distress and support healthier communication.
OCD can involve intrusive thoughts, fears, urges, or repetitive behaviors that become difficult to control and interfere with daily life. OCD treatment focuses on helping you better understand these patterns and manage symptoms.
PTSD can develop after a single traumatic event or repeated and prolonged traumatic experiences. Symptoms may affect sleep, mood, relationships, concentration, and your sense of safety. Learn more about PTSD treatment at Strength Recovery Services.
Some people benefit from traditional weekly therapy, while others need more structure and support. Strength Recovery Services offers two primary outpatient levels of care for adults with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring concerns.
Massachusetts often uses different terminology for these programs. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) may be called day treatment, while an intensive outpatient program (IOP) may be described as half-day treatment or evening treatment.
Both allow you to receive structured care while continuing to live at home.
Our partial hospitalization program is the most structured outpatient level of care offered at Strength Recovery Services. PHP, or day treatment, may be appropriate when symptoms significantly affect daily functioning and you need more consistent clinical support than a less intensive outpatient program provides.
Treatment can include individual and group therapy, skill development, emotional education, and other therapeutic services based on your needs.
Our intensive outpatient program provides structured treatment with greater flexibility than PHP. IOP may also be referred to as half-day or evening treatment in Massachusetts.
Some people begin treatment at the IOP level, while others transition into IOP after PHP as their symptoms stabilize and they need less intensive support. An assessment helps determine the appropriate starting point and treatment pathway.
Mental health treatment often works best when therapy is matched to the person rather than relying on a single approach for everyone.
Strength Recovery Services incorporates different therapeutic approaches according to your symptoms, history, needs, and treatment goals. Care may include
Different approaches can serve different purposes. One person may need help recognizing thought patterns that contribute to anxiety or depression. Another may need support regulating intense emotions, processing trauma, improving relationships, or developing healthier coping strategies.
Mental health and substance use concerns often affect one another. Someone experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or emotional distress may begin using alcohol or drugs to cope. Over time, substance use can create additional emotional, behavioral, relationship, and health problems.
In other situations, substance use may worsen existing mental health symptoms or make them more difficult to manage.
When mental health and substance use concerns occur together, treating only one part of the problem can leave important needs unaddressed. Strength Recovery Services offers dual diagnosis treatment that considers both concerns as part of the same treatment plan.
Starting treatment does not require you to know exactly what kind of care you need. The admissions and clinical process helps determine that.
Your first steps may include discussing your current symptoms, treatment history, substance use when relevant, everyday functioning, support system, and goals. This information helps the team understand the whole picture rather than focusing on a single symptom.
From there, an individualized treatment plan can be developed around your needs. That may include PHP, IOP, different forms of therapy, or treatment for co-occurring substance use concerns.
Your needs can also change during treatment. Someone who begins with more intensive support may eventually be ready to step down to a less structured level of care as they build stability and confidence.
Insurance may cover some or much of the cost of medically necessary behavioral health treatment, but coverage depends on your individual policy, benefits, network, and other factors.
Strength Recovery Services can verify your insurance information before treatment begins and help you better understand your available benefits. You can also contact our admissions team if you have questions about the next steps toward beginning care.
